Mr Bacon is a co-founder of Trilogy Funds Management Limited. He has more than 40 years of experience in the Australian financial services industry. Prior to founding Trilogy Funds, he was an Executive Director of Challenger International Limited. Mr Bacon’s responsibility at Challenger included strategic planning, establishing of ASX listed financial services companies and lending. He was involved in the establishment of Challenger Annuities in 1997-98 and the building of a $2.7 billion property portfolio. Before Challenger, Mr Bacon worked with the Schroder Merchant Banking Group for 15 years, and was involved in all aspects of funds management. He was a member of the Merchant Bank Board in Australia for 6 years. Mr Ryan is Managing Director and a co-founder of Trilogy Funds. A commercial lawyer for 31 years, he is a member of the Queensland Law Society Inc and a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia. He was previously a partner in a Brisbane Law Firm for over 20 years where he practised in Commercial and Property Law. Philip is also a Fellow of Finsia (Financial Services Institute of Australia) which is the peak body representing financial professionals in Australia and is Compliance Officer for all of Trilogy’s Funds, which involves him sitting on the Compliance Committee, liaising with the Audit, Risk Management and Compliance Committee and advising the board on risk management, anti-money laundering and counter terrorism and fraud requirements, financial and regulatory compliance. Philip also sits on the Investment Committee and the Lending Committee for Trilogy Funds. Philip holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (QUT), a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (QUT) and a number of post graduate diplomas from Finsia.

Mr Smart was appointed in July 2007 and is a Certified Practising Accountant. His role with Trilogy Funds is to manage operations incorporating finance, administration, marketing, information technology and human resources. Prior to joining Trilogy Funds, Mr Smart held various senior management roles within the financial services sector. He worked with Aussie Home Loans and QBE Insurance. Prior to joining Trilogy Funds in 2013, Mr Crotty worked as an External Auditor for seven years with PKF Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers and subsequently BDO following a merger between the two firms in August 2012.  During his time with PKF Mr Crotty managed a portfolio of ASX listed and unlisted clients, prepared and reviewed financial statements and undertook due diligence procedures.
