Get to know Trilogy’s National Adviser Services Manager in 4 questions

From nurturing quality relationships with clients to advocating Trilogy’s flagship product, the Trilogy Monthly Income Trust (TMIT), Nicole Ott is a highly valued member of the Trilogy team.

We posed four questions to Nicole to understand a little about what makes her tick, how she spends her down time and what she loves most about the Trilogy Monthly Income Trust.

Tell us some about your role at Trilogy? Can you pick a favourite part?

Nicole: As the National Adviser Services Manager, my role involves engaging with dealer groups and platforms as well as individual advisers throughout Australia to ensure they’re up to date with our product performance. I also educate our advisers about Trilogy’s range of investment offerings.

One of my favourite aspects of the role is the travel involved. I enjoy the opportunity to visit different cities and regions to have face-to-face contact with dealer groups and advisers – to be able to answer questions, build networks and serve as an ambassador for Trilogy. In my experience, one of the most valuable things you can give someone is your time. Going the extra mile to connect with other industry professionals on a more personal level is so important to establishing – and growing – business relationships. Regular, authentic conversations with dealer groups and advisers also gives us great insight into how we can tailor our products and services to meet client needs.

What is your background in the industry? Tell us about your career so far:

Nicole: Previously I was a national manager with one of Australia’s largest dealer groups and have also held state sales and marketing management roles in fund management.

My extensive experience in financial services has ignited my passion for investment management. I am a strong advocate for financial education (I am currently on the AFA National Education Committee) and the vital role advisers play in an investor’s journey. It gives me great satisfaction to know that as part of the Trilogy team and working in close consultation with dealer groups and advisers, I am able to help investors from diverse backgrounds move a step closer to achieving their financial goals.

Tell us a little about yourself, what do you like to do in your spare time?

Nicole: Over the past few years I have been competing in marathons, so much of my down time is spent training, focusing on my health and learning more about nutrition. Last year I completed the New York Marathon alongside over 51,000 other athletes. To be part of such an iconic event in one of the world’s most vibrant – and most loved – cities was an experience I will never forget.

I’m also an interior design enthusiast. I’m about to renovate my house, so I have been having fun working out colour schemes, room designs and of course – managing the budget!

Lastly, what is your favourite thing about the Trilogy Monthly Income Trust?

Nicole: There are so many things to love about this product. If I had to narrow down the key reasons why the Trilogy Monthly Income Trust is such a great investment option they would be: its stellar 11-year track record, and its suitability for advisers looking for good yield, consistent monthly returns and portfolio diversification for their clients.
